April 2018 - What a tough trip. My Dad's battle was coming to an end and no one wanted to believe it. We all worked hard to make him comfortable and reassure him that we'd be ok, but he still worried about everyone, which worried me. But, he insisted on continuing to work his business, check in with his team, and make plans. I'd say we let him do all of those things while very sick because we knew how happy it made him but no one let my Dad do anything. Even at 100lbs he was a force to be reckoned with. So, better to say he did what he wanted and we helped him to do it until the very end. This was the last trip that I'd see him alive and this photo is of the last time we sat outside together. Do you see how in charge he was even then? My next trip would be for his funeral in June.
