Not sure why you'd ever want to contact me, but maybe you have a question about one of my posts or you want to ask about the oils. Well, feel free. I'd love to chat.
Pure joy. The kid fought for 2 hrs and 15 mins in the santa ana heat to land this 80 lb bluefin on 30 lb line. The whole crew helped. Stan spotted the paddy from the tower, and Erik Wahlrab ran deck and everyone coached Chance through it led by Jon as he simultaneously backed down the boat.
The line was too light for the fish--but once you're on, you're on--and Chance just powered through it, taking everyone's advice as he reeled in just an inch or two at a time. Once the fish was onboard, they found the line was near snapping and hook completely stretched out.
A lot of hard work goes into these trips and my heart holds its breath until I get the call. But, it was Jon's heart that skipped a beat this time (then swelled beyond measure) as he watched his son get it done. It's moments like these that make all the work (& worry on my part) absolutely worth it.
And the fish this week has been epic, thanks to the hub slicing up sashimi and seared spicy deliciousness each night!
An amazing night of Sound Bowl Healing & New Beginnings led by @annidayan and @musictherapyandessentialoils! What a wonderful group of ladies too, great energy, and super supportive environment. We released all that no longer serves us and start fresh tonight. It was grounding, clearing + completely awesome. So many breakthroughs. Thanks, everyone. Feel free to tag yourselves!
Everything in moderation. Boys are fishing so breakfast (now brunch) needs to be easy. Before they left, @jonpauldore made a bunch of burritos for the trip, so I pretty much blame him for inspiring this machaca run. Locals will understand what a treat this is. What is your favorite guilty-not-guilty comfort food?
Just in case you missed our baby cow in stories.π
First week of Clean Up (do yoga but stop wearing yoga pants) & Get Out (as in leave my house more often): I got my hair and nails done + brows waxed. I also went with @jonpauldore on his school-drop-off mornings so we could see the kid off together. We went for a really nice drive up the coast too. Oh, and I took myself out to a delicious lunch in our neighborhood. I'm now going thru all the online shops and apps suggested for improving my look while getting more fit and yoga-fied. There's a walk and a mini workout planned for later today too. I'd say I'm off to a pretty good start. Going to try a local yoga class next week! Keep you posted and thanks again for all the tips and links!π
Oh my goodness. Earlier this week, I posted on FB asking for everyone's favorite online shops to get me out of my yoga pant uniform, and wearing actual clothes + hats again. .
I also requested yoga + workout apps and tips on local classes to get me out of the house and firming up those fluffy parts. I've lost weight but momma needs to step-up the fitness routine now!
.
What a response. This tells me: A. a lot of women are working on themselves and B. we like to share good things to help others, and C. this calls for a series, so I'm going to update you on my progress each week, and share what's working for me to Clean Up & Get Out in the world again! .
Thanks to all who have offered up suggestions so far. Now, I'm opening it up to my insta peeps to hear any ideas you may have or who else I should be following here to draw more sparks of inspiration!
When you live the YL life, you've got the best of nature to take care of yourself, your home, and everyone in it. But, this time of year is extra special. Here are just a few of my favorite goodies from this year's holiday catalog. Makes it so easy to ditch + switch from toxic products in every room to safe, plant-based options. .
Do yourself a favor today and get the Think Dirty app, then look up every household + personal care product you currently use. You may be surprised by the ingredients and the dangers they pose.
.
Slowly replacing one at a time can make a big difference in your everyday (and future) health, friends. And it all begins with our starter kits that make taking the first step so simple. Many are unaware Young Living has four Premium Starter Kits: .
* Everyday Oils + Your Choice of Diffuser (12 of the best starter oils)
* Thieves (chemical free home w/ all the Thieves including the cleaner!)
* Ningxia Red (immune supporting antioxidant heaven and super yum)
* Savvy Minerals (all-natural, skin-loving makeup sets in four shades)
.
Here's how it works: you get one premium starter kit (which are half-off all the time, BTW), then you're a member and you get 24% off pricing on everything you buy from then on. We also have a Basic Kit that includes just a few key items like Stress Away + Thieves Spray + Purifier + Samples, if you're on a budget, but want to get on ditching + switching at your own pace.
.
You don't have to sell or buy every month but we do have an opt-in only subscription where you get points (dollars) back on each on each order (10%, then 20%, then 25%!), which can be redeemed for free products of your choice + cancel anytime! .
Combine ER with YLGo, our Amazon Prime-type shipping program, for the best savings to make better habits easier to adopt.
.
This month only, newbies get free shipping on ALL starter kits, and I have a couple $20 off codes left (expiring end of October) if you're wanting one of the premium kits!
.
I don't recall a time when YL ever offered free shipping and discount codes in the same month, so now is a great time to get started, and we offer some sweet fall welcome packs, so don't wait!βΊοΈ
I suck at gardening. And dishes. And laundry. And housekeeping. The inside of our house is setup for Halloween but I don't yet have my ish together with a cute Fall porch like those I see all over here. But, the one thing I've done right is replacing every toxic product in our home. .
It took time. But, each month, a few more items usually on our grocery, pharmacy or Target shopping list made it to my Young Living cart. .
Each month, it's like Christmas when our wellness box arrives, and we couldn't be happier, healthier or making better choices. .
Jon wasn't on board at first. He liked the oils and we often joke-fought over the diffuser until I had placed one in every room, but he wasn't quite sure about ditching + switching all of the usual home and personal care stuff. Now, he has his own subscription because there's no more room in mine, and he doesn't like when he gets low on his faves like Charcoal Bar Soap, Copaiba Vanilla Shampoo, Ningxia Red, Zyng or Thieves Foaming Hand Soap.
.
All these changes didn't happen over night (and neither did us sharing the YL life with our friends). But, over time, these little switches have made a big difference for us.
.
We used to go to the doctor pretty often, but now, it's a rarity, which is good because we're allergic to most antibiotics. This was another reason why it was so appealing to me to focus on staying well rather than waiting to care better for ourselves until there's a problem.
.
Now, everyday self-maintenance is second nature for us, and we are always stocked, so there are no worries about waking up in the night and not having what we need or putting off self-care until things are worse.
.
No. Whatever we need is right here at arm's reach. We have essential oil stations around our home, supplements setup in the kitchen, oil-infused salts, shower steamers + bath bombs and natural shampoo, conditioner, soap + shave cream in the restrooms, and our fridge is always stocked with Ningxia + Zyng and ALL THE THIEVES under every sink + sprays by each faucet. .
This is just what we do now and I'm so glad we made the switch. It's not just about products, though. It's about knowing more and doing + feeling better.
Another super fun Intuitive Tarot Reading workshop last night! Thanks, Jodi Harary, for leading this amazing class, and for my reading! All three of mine were dead-on, and I so enjoyed reading others, and each validated the messages. Feels good to work those tools. What a great night!π
There was a time when I ran myself into the ground on the regular. I put my work first, my clients first, everyone first before me. While I knew that taking care of myself would allow me to care more and better for others, I was in such a panic to please that I just ran and did all the things before ever considering rest. .
I was sick often. I lost my voice often. I ignored pain often (and it caught up with me). .
Me, my husband, and our son are allergic to most antibiotics. So, it's extremely important to do whatever we can to stay well. I didn't know how to do this successfully until I learned about essential oils and natural supplements.
.
Emotions are a thing for me too. As an introverted empath, I feel all the feels and deep. Sometimes energy in a room or around a lot of people can be overwhelming. .
I never knew how plants could help me to find balance--mind, body and spirit--and I am infinitely happier and healthier since making this discovery, so much so that I felt called to share them almost immediately.
.
The ah-ha moments are usually found when we talk about what it's like to go from ignoring your needs until it's absolutely urgent to having tools and feeling empowered to manage your needs proactively every day. This makes room for the unexpected things, and when those things happen, we know what to do, and we do it NOW because it's easy. .
Have you ever wanted to get to that place? .

I'm super excited to share about the class I went to last night. But, first, self-care in my happy place. .
The biomat grounds me so well. If you've never heard about them before, it's like a far infrared sauna that you can lay on. We've got them in all shapes and sizes stationed around our house and never travel without at least one of them. .
Packed with superconducting amethyst and incorporating a grounding layer of crushed tourmaline, the Biomat creates far infrared + negative ions that provide much-needed energy to the cells in our body. .
Far infrared--a powerful tool in supporting the body's natural healing process--penetrates up to eight inches through the body. For my YL friends who know all about staying above the wellness line, Biomats are the perfect complement to essential oils. But, if you're new to this universe, see my stories today (or highlights later) for a flip-thru oils 101 class!
.
Now, back to the mat. It's not just comforting + grounding (fave temp is 113, BTW, but I do periodically enjoy hotter, shorter detox sessions). No, the Biomat is also quite soothing in its support sore muscles + joints. .
Now, time to oil up and jump on my charging station! If you have other natural tools you love, let us know, and have a great Saturday!

My acupuncturist says that I basically have five years to hang upside down, stretch, and do all the yoga before the pain from a compressed disc in my neck becomes unbearable. My chiropractor concurs so I pretty much have my marching orders.π
.
This is one of the reasons why I love her. She's honest and I appreciate it! Of course, this also means I finally got one of those yoga trapeze things, which fits perfectly into my love of gentle, holistic tools, which I'm working hard these days to beat the clock!π
.
Who has one of these things? They're awesome and help so much. So, just hanging here, oiled up, chilling out, stretching my neck, and feeling like a self-care gangster! .
Any other tips you can share? I'm open to almost anything short of meds and surgery. Natural always works best for me.π

Acupuncture with the amazing @chongmedicine followed by a heathy lunch @bluewatergrill! They're just blocks away from each other in Carlsbad, and I highly recommend them both as well as this routine! Happy Friday, everyone, hope you're taking some time today to care for yourself too!π

To be honest, we weren't sure what to expect from @naturesultra . For years, we've used full-spectrum and tried many kinds--from drops to vape and balms--and we've never experienced better CBD than this product, and no, I cannot believe I'm saying that about an isolate (even one backed by the magic of @youngliving)! For the complete review, visit my oiler feed, @orangeyouoiling!π

Extra special day with some truly amazing women, each who brought totally unique gifts and talents to our circle last week. Thanks, ladies, for sharing all of your kindness and positive energy! Thanks also to generous host @annidayan for showering us with love, oils and honeycomb-infused chocolate! And to the incredible @musictherapyandessentialoils, who heals through sound, wow, my soul feels lighter from it. Feeling grateful.β€οΈπ
