January 2018 - I came across this old photo and the timing could not be more perfect. It reminded me of how far we've come and how my love and appreciation for him has grown over time, especially when my Dad's illness began to pick up speed. My husband was my rock through a 4-year nightmare. He consoled my heart, calmed my nerves, put things in perspective, and made me laugh. He also held down the fort every time I needed to leave the country to spend time with my Dad and be there (in Thailand) for his funeral and settling affairs. My husband kept our train moving even when I had nothing left to give. He knew I needed time and comfort and he gave both to me (and generously) without complaint. That gift has made all the difference in bringing me back to myself again. I will always be grateful to him for navigating us through it all. Leave it to a fisherman to captain our way through this. I will love you forever and ever, @jonpauldore. You are the catch of a lifetime.
