Where did the time go? We loved every minute. From movies and decorations to school parties and pumpkin carving to Disneyland trick-or-treat, we never missed out on the Halloween fun with our one + only kid.
My absolute favorite: making his costumes
He, of course. enjoyed getting accessories from the Spirit Store but the actual costume was up to me. I so appreciate our kid was cool with that presumably because I always made them warm and comfortable, and Chance has always liked being warm and comfortable.
I would start with a fleece hoodie or long sleeve thermal and jeans or sweats as my base then built the costume onto those pieces. So, the kid would just slip on what felt like regular comfy clothes and then we’d put on the finishing touches. I was just showing some of them to his girlfriend who is over to watch scary movies.
Oh, what fun we had back in the day.
We’d meet-up at the neighborhood party or out for pizza with the other families then trick-or-treat until the bags were full and the kids could walk not one more step. We even did the Disneyland & California Adventure Halloween Parties three times over the years. What a blast.
Those years were all so exhausting. I’m tired just writing this! But, we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. You only live (at least this life!) once, after all. Happy Halloween & Good Night!
