I want to thank my mom. Right now, our family is going through a season, and it's not been easy. All the while, this lady has been my rock. She knows when I need a hug, a good laugh or the perfect mimosa with just a splash of orange juice. She answers my constant phone calls and listens and does her best to cheer me up. She came last weekend when I needed her most and I'm so grateful. Normally, when she's about to visit, all you hear from me on Facebook is that she's coming, she's here, look at all the crap she brought for us, look at all the fun we're having, and then I confide how hard it is to say goodbye. This time, I didn't say a word. I couldn't. I just needed to see her, and keep her all to myself and now that she's gone, I'm overwhelmed with appreciation and finally ready to share her again and talk about how awesome she is. My momma just learned to text too (no, really), which is totally delightful and so very cute. She even sends emojis and this is her signature emoji combo that she always ends with: ❤️🇺🇸🌵How fabulous is she? Now I need an emoji signature. What would be yours?
