As of today, I am lighter...
6 full suitcases
10 garbage bags
12 storage bins
18 large boxes
Oh, and 20 pounds
I am 20lbs lighter
And there ain't a drawer in our home that's not organized with only what we love and our most favorite origami-folded clothing.
I am free. Free of everything that's been weighing me down from home to heart.
Through pain and trauma, grief and loss, I've always held on tight to every thing. Every memory, every valued object, every inch, every pound.
Fight or flight is real, friends.
We hold onto whatever we can to brace and protect ourselves. And with all the work I've had to do lately to release what no longer serves me, it is only fitting to let go of the physical barriers that I don't want/need anymore to shield or comfort me.
Thanks to everyone who has helped to see me through the most painful time and to those of you who said yes to gifts offered here that are now more well-suited for your homes and families.
I am thrilled that saying goodbye to so many things that no longer fit our season in life have landed so perfectly in the homes of the people + schools and organizations we love the most. The pounds I wish on no one and can stay gone forever. Time to make room for what's next and I couldn't be more excited.🙏
